The Albany County wreck happened at around 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, on Route 7 in Watervliet, according to New York State Police.

Akiem Keele, age 33, of Whitehall in Washington County, was riding a motorcycle eastbound on Route 7 at a high rate of speed when he struck a dividing barrier near the exit to I-787.

He suffered severe injuries and later died at Albany Medical Center, troopers said.
